Drew's diverse projects have
also included residential and furniture design and rail cars for mass-transit systems in New York, Toronto and Mexico.
Since the mid
'80s, Drew and Joie have worked together creating, producing,
writing, designing and providing food photography for
cookbooks for major book publishers, including
William Morrow and Company/Hearst Books, Chronicle Books, Penguin Books, Random
House, Prentice-Hall, and Little, Brown and Company, (including
special-edition corporate cookbooks for companies such as Braun and
Procter and Gamble),
which have
garnered
critical acclaim
and
awards of excellence for design and production.
Drew studied transportation and
advertising
design at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. His automotive
design projects include concept cars for Ford,
Chrysler,
and an all-new design for a new-generation of the
classic British roadster -- the Austin Healey.
For many years, Drew
was an automotive illustrator on advertising campaigns for major car
manufacturers such as
Chrysler, Toyota, Ford, and General Motors.
Drew is also an
accomplished artist who has had one-man shows of his automotive
oil paintings and works on paper.
Drew lives with
Joie
and their dog
Cookie
at their home (which he also designed), in East Hampton, New York.
